This course addresses the nature of teaching and learning science in early childhood, care and education.  The course will develop students’ knowledge and understanding of science skills for young children (observing, predicting, classifying, comparing, and making inferences) and the domain of science knowledge in early childhood education (such as understanding and exploring living and non-living objects).  Students will be guided on strategies to facilitate these science skills and conduct science activities in the context of early childhood education. The course will; be taught via interactive lectures and tutorials.                                                                                    Assessments:  ONE (1) quiz, ONE (1) individual, ONE (1) group assignment, and a final exam.
