This course emphasises learning through movement and play, which are good for childhood development. Learning through movement and play keeps children healthy, assists in developing eye-body coordination, and builds strength, leading to better movement skills.  This course also focuses on the teaching of theories associated with teaching and learning through movement and play and the benefits of learning through play. It also provides ideas and a framework for effectively incorporating movement and plays in early childhood, care and education

This module's teaching and learning approach will be through lectures, tutorials, hands-on activities incorporating movement and play, and reflective discussions. 

Assessment: ONE (1) quiz,  ONE (1) group assignment, ONE (1) individual assignment and a final exam.
