This course focuses on the safety, health, hygiene and nutrition of young children and effective practices to ensure adequate provisions are met for health, nutrition and safe environment in early childhood settings. There will also be emphasis on how basic health, good nutrition hygiene and safety management procedures can be implemented to prevent childhood illness and communicable diseases.

The course will be taught through interactive lectures and guided tutorials and assessed via quizzes, assignments and a final exam.
